Choosing Witchy Canva fonts depends on a lot of factors
So when it comes to choosing fonts to use in designs, whether you’re looking for witchy ones or not, you’ve got a lot of factors to keep in mind. But specifically when choosing witchy fonts, you need to first know what exactly “witchy” means to you!
Like many words describing design elements, “Witchy” can include a lot of different design styles. Just like “Elegant” or “Minimal” can go in many directions. These two logos are both “witchy”, but they’re witchy in different ways! One is more sleek, and the other, more rustic. But… both definitely witchy. And the “witchiness” (a word I just made up, you’re welcome!) isn’t just to do with the font choices, either – it’s also about the elements used in conjunction with them!

So when you’re choosing Witchy Canva fonts…
This means when you’re choosing witchy fonts for your brand, what you need to make sure you’ve done FIRST is ensure the tone you’re going for is more specific than just “witchy” and instead leans into the things your ideal clients are looking for in whatever it is you do.
Do you need something that feels earthy? Rustic? Antique? Modern? Sleek? These factors should play in no matter what – and might mean that you end up choosing fonts that don’t 100% feel witchy on their own, but instead, work together with the rest of your brand to create the tone you’re going for.
But when it comes to witchy fonts on Canva, you have options!
That all being said, there are TONS of fonts available on Canva that can fall into a bunch of those categories of Witchy content, and a ton of them can be used for your logo materials, too, since they’re free to use! Remember, if you’re creating your logo materials in Canva instead of something like Adobe Illustrator, you’ll want to make sure you use only free fonts and shapes to do it, because otherwise, you won’t be able to trademark the logo down the line.
If that’s not something you’re concerned about though, you can feel free to use whatever you’d like from the Canva library, as long as you’re not reselling graphics or photos on their own, that’s a whole other can of worms.
If you’re looking for Witchy Canva font inspiration, I’ve got a list right here!
In no particular order, take a look at some of my favourite Witchy Canva fonts, along with a handful of examples of how they can look in final content. Not all of them are OBVIOUSLY witchy themselves, but can totally be used with elements that make sense, to contribute to the witchy tone you’re going for in your content!

The Mariam – Canva Pro Font
The Mariam is a pro font on Canva, and it’s got those classic, gothic witchy vibes happening! It’s great to pair with a serif font, to make sure your content isn’t overwhelming. The ligatures speak for themselves though, so don’t worry about needing to get too complex with your logo, if you choose to use this font! That being said… I might’ve gone a little overboard with the branding example you can see above.

ITC Blackadder – Canva FREE Font
Not only is ITC Blackadder a gorgeously handwritten witchy Canva font, with a bit of jitter to the text itself, it’s available to use for free! This one is also lovely for pairing with a serif, however, in certain cases… it could even be the body font for a project, depending on your needs!

Black Vision – Canva Pro Font
Black Vision is gorgeous, and here I’ve shown it in both its all-caps form, and its small caps form. That’s because this is a small caps font, making it fabulous for heading placements, where you need something a little bit more ornate to pair with a serif or sans serif primary font for a project.

Macabro Danger – Canva Pro Font
I love a textured font, and Macabro Danger (a pro font on Canva) is exactly that. It’s lightly textured, a little bit rough, and looks even slightly stamped onto canvas, if you look closely. It looks amazing in branding that’s intended to have a rustic witchy feel to it, as you can see in the mockup logo above!
Because it doesn’t include lowercase characters, it’s another that works great as a headline font, but really shouldn’t be considered beyond headlines and highlights. Not a great option for the body font of your brand!

Janmeid – Canva Pro Font
Janmeid is textured lightly – but less so than Macabro Danger – and a bit messy! I love the handwritten tone. It pairs well with slightly chaotic illustrations, and works great for headlines in your content! Again, it’s not brilliant as a body font, but we’re going to get to some that are, so hold tight!

Armstrong – Canva Pro Font
The gothic details on Armstrong are nothing short of gorgeous. I love the balancing in this one, that makes it feel simultaneously witchy, modern, and a relic of the past. It’s like a gothic font that got an upgrade, so that it feels perfectly 2025. It’s an amazing font for headlines in your witchy brand, but definitely a lot if you wanted to use it as a body font.

Max Somsin – Canva FREE Font
Similar to Janmeid, Max Somsin is lightly textured, a little rough, and honestly? Kind of chaotic. You can almost see it on a poster for a horror film – but not quite. This one is witchy, but… dark witchy. Not light, fluffy, or elegant – this one is raw. And I really, really like it! So if you plan on leaning into dark witchiness in your branding or design project, see whether Max Somsin will do the trick. Oh also, did I mention, it’s available for free?

Signature – Canva FREE Font
I love Signature, not just because it’s free, but because it’s messy, elegant, and slightly rough. But it’s also witchy. Think “speedily scrawled spell” and “signing off on a recipe” kind of vibes. Using Signature as the script font included in your witchy branding can elevate your branding a bit, too, because it keeps things elegant!

Inside – Canva Pro Font
Inside is hand written, scrawled, and includes little details that I’ve fallen in love with. It’s a pro font on Canva, so you’ll need a pro account to use it, but the balancing in the characters is lovely, and it will make a whimsical witchy addition to any branding that needs to be a tad bit esoteric.

Engravers’ Old English BT – Canva FREE Font
Engravers’ Old English BT is classic. It’s gothic. It’s been around FOREVER. And most of all, it’s witchy as hell! This one looks amazing on your gothic inspired fashion labels, packaging, and of course, in logo materials. It’s not an incredible font for body text because it’s got a lot going on, but honestly? There are some projects that call for it anyway. And to top it all off, it’s available for free with your Canva account! No payment needed.

Lumios Typewriter Old – Canva Pro Font
I am deeply obsessed with typewriter fonts – just… all of them. And this one is no exception! It’s a slightly taller typewriter, when it comes to the caps, and keeps the “strokes” smooth and simple. It doesn’t feel messy exactly, just a bit imperfect. It works brilliantly as a headline font for your brand, and also pairs well with personal branding designs like the one you can see above! Among the many typewriter fonts you can use in Canva (and elsewhere!)
I love Lumios, because it’s distinct from typewriter fonts that look like ink has sunk into a page.

Special Elite – Canva FREE Font
Special Elite will always have a special place in my heart, not just because it’s witchy, but because it’s a typewriter font, with texture included! This dont types like it’s been struck against crumpled pages – meaning it overlays really well on paper textures, and brings an aged feeling to your content. It’s great for headlines, but can also be used as a body font in some situations! And most of all, it looks great paired with witchy imagery and tones, especially if you’re going for something that feels straight out of a 1920’s medium’s office.

True Typewriter – Canva FREE Font
Sticking with the typewriter fonts, we have another available for free on Canva, True Typewriter! It’s simple, and textured at the edges, as if the ink has sunk into the page you’re typing on. The simplicity of this font makes it ideal for either headings or body – though I wouldn’t go as far as getting a license to use it as a body font on your website, that would be a LOT. Though to be fair, some projects might call for it, so I never say never!
This one is also free on Canva, meaning you can use it without a pro account. Pair it with a tall sans serif (like Cooper Hewitt, or Brendon!) to highlight the height of the characters. Then of course, to make it even witchier, bring in some ink drawings for your branding that really line up with the “ink sinking into page” vibes True Typewriter has.

29LT Makina – Canva FREE Font
Okay I really promise I’ve not put these in any particular order, they’ve just happened to line up with the typewriter fonts in the middle. But anyway, this is 29LT Makina! It’s available for free on Canva, and this one is another textured typewriter font, but of another flavour. It’s still witchy, and still feels like it belongs in a 1920’s madium’s office paperwork, but this time with speckling instead of external texturing on the ligatures. It looks like the ink dipped unevenly on each of the strokes, and that chaos brings a little intrigue to the characters themselves.
It’s another that pairs well with ink illustrations for your witchy branding!

ITC American Typewriter – Canva Pro Font
We’ve talked about a lot of rough, textured, chaotic typerwiter fonts you can use in your witchy branding. But what if you wanted something cleaner? Sleeker? More elegant? But… still a typewriter font? ITC American Typewriter is your go-to in that case. Available for use in Canva pro, it’s simple, sleek, and the details are just… gorgeous. It pairs well with a sans serif for your branding, and makes a great headline font.

Celandine – Canva Free Font
Celandine is a free calligraphic font on Canva, and it’s great for your witchy branding or witchy projects in general. It’s gothic, but not TOO gothic, toeing the line between being a handwritten font and being a script. It’s technically calligraphy, but I digress. It works well paired with thin sans serif fonts, to create some visual contrast, as you can see above! But the gothic bent to the characters helps bring witchiness into your designs no matter how you use Celandine.

Palm Club – Canva Free Font
It’s simple. It’s brushed. It’s rushed. It’s witchy. It’s Palm Club! I don’t know what that weird sales pitch was, but I do really love this font – it looks speedily handwritten, with each character merging into the next without being a proper script font. It’s closest to a marker brush, but the contrast in the strokes makes it feel undeniably beachy. So… opening a tarot reading studio on the beach? A holistic retreat in Bali? This font helps to instil those beachy vibes, while keeping things witchy too.
And of course, because of the handwritten chaos, it pairs amazingly with sketches witchy elements, too!

Biro Script Plus – Canva Free Font
Biro Script Plus has some pretty niche uses, but one of them is in witchy branding! Need to bring a fully handwritten vibe to scribbles on the edge of your designs? Looking to add a handwritten touch to printed leaflets for the clients at your reiki studio? Biro Script Plus will do all this and more, without you actually having to pick up a pen. It’s not witchy itself – but that’s the case for a lot of these fonts. It can be witchy in the way you USE it though!!

Sensa Wild Fill – Canva PRO Font
Sensa Wild Fill is another font that works best as a headline, because there’s no lowercase set included in the font. It is, however, gorgeous, and can definitely be used in witchy branding! It’s a bold sans serif, almost closer to a display font, and includes a little bit of a wave to each character. Just slightly off of a straight line, giving it handwritten intrigue even though it is fairly clean.

Sensa Serif – Canva PRO Font
Okay I know I said none of these are in any particular order, but I did make sure that Sensa Wild Fill was with Sensa Serif, because they’re friends. But anyway, Sensa Serif is another gorgeous handwritten-style display serif font, that feels like it has subtle movement in the ligatures (because it does!). It’s great for those who want to bring a whimsical touch to their witchy branding, that feels personal.

A Day Without Sun Text – Canva Free Font
In keeping with the accidental theme in this section of “fonts that feel lightly hand written” we have A Day Without Sun Text, which is another in that category of fonts! This one is a sans serif, has the same feeling of light movement, and keeps things simple. It’s witchy though, in that it pairs super well with other witchy fonts, or as a compliment to witchy hand drawn elements!

Abramo – Canva Free Font
Abramo is gorgeous, and you might’ve seen it in lists about fonts that are elegant, or fonts that keep your Canva designs elevated! But I personally think it’s a witchy font too, because it can be used in the margins of your design, or paired with another more obviously witchy font in your primary branding. It’s great because it looks hand-scrawled, which comes back to that whole thing about fonts that seem like you scribbled them on the pages of your grimoire. Oh and also, it’s available for free, which makes it even better! Abramo is a great way to add witchy details to your content, whether you’re designing a downloadable PDF, or slides for an Instagram carousel.

Pinyon Script – Canva Free Font
Pinyon Script is a free Canva font you’ve probably seen EVERYwhere lately! It’s being used in a ton of minimal, elegant designs – including some of my own templates. But this one can also be used in witchy designs, whether it’s paired with other fonts, or used on its own! It makes a great addition to your font suite if you’re looking for an elegant-witchy tone in your content, and hoping to have a readable script that won’t distract from your imagery, but will add that touch of elevation.

Campground – Canva PRO Font
Campground is… fun. It’s whimsical. It has those “we’re going into the wilderness” vibes. Like it was engraved into the signage at an actual campground – hence the name. But that’s what’s so fun about it! And it definitely has its place in witchy branding, specifically if you’re going for “green witch” or “outdoorsy” vibes in your brand! Maybe you create witchy patterns for camping supplies. Maybe you take people on witchy retreats into the wilderness. Either way, Campground can be brought into the headlines in your branding, and will feel right at home!

Brendon – Canva PRO Font
Brendon feels like a really simple font, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be used in witchy applications! That’s the thing we were talking about earlier… witchy branding doesn’t necessarily mean obviously witchy fonts and elements, it’s about the overall tone created by the content itself. And Brendon can absolutely be witchy! See it above, paired with a script font, and an illustration with high contrast. It’s readable, bold, and great for making striking statements that aren’t TOO strong in personal branding.

Neue Montreal – Canva PRO Font
No list of witchy Canva fonts would be complete without some standard serif and sans serif options that pair well with witchy headline fonts, and feel like they belong in the body of witchy business content. And Neue Montreal is one of those very fonts! Now, you can really pair pretty much any sans or serif font with witchy headline fonts, but some are balanced particularly well to match up with gothic text, and I personally think Neue Montreal is one of those options.

Noto Serif Display – Canva Free Font
Noto Serif Display is another one of those classic options that can be made witchy because of its environment! Or, that is to say, the things you pair it with in context. It looks amazing with a witchy script font, or paired with high-contrast outlined sketched witchy elements, like some of the ones you can find on my Canva profile! It’s also highly readable, because it’s a simple serif, which means it’s a great choice if you’re going for a luxurious witchy vibe to your branding overall.

The Seasons – Canva Free Font
The Seasons might look like your everyday serif font, but it’s actually one of my favourites. There’s something about the balance in the contrast, along with the simple details of this font that just make it feel… elegant, and like it belongs in a fantasy world. It’s a font I’ve used repeatedly in client content, because it also has a way of taking on the tone of the elements around it, and looking different in each placement. But when it comes to your witchy branding, The Seasons definitely has a place at the table if you want your branding to be subtly witchy, while also keeping things elevated, readable, and streamlined.

Perandory – Canva Free Font
Perandory is sharp, fun, slightly romantic, and definitely has a place in witchy content design! Even though the characters remain rather simple, it has a slightly gothic edge you can pick up in the smaller details. Plus, the high contrast means it pairs well with illustrated elements, and that’s always a winner when you’re picking out fonts for your witchy brand! It’s bold as well, and stands on its own feet – so if you’re looking to make an impression with your witchy branding, and head in the direction of “edgy” – then this is a font to take a look at.

TAN Aegean – Canva PRO Font
TAN Aegean is a serif I personally find pretty similar to The Seasons, but with a bit more movement. And in fact, it’s the movement in the characters that gives this font a spot on my favourite witchy Canva fonts list! The subtle details in the characters and the forward momentum in the ligatures makes TAN Aegean a great serif to use for headlines, and as the primary serif in your logo. It’s a bit detailed for body text, but there are still projects here and there that might call for it!

Zenaida – Canva Free Font
Zenaida is whimsical, but feels aged too. Possibly like the text you might find on the signage for a pub in the middle of nowhere in the middle ages, but like… in a magical faery land, not necessarily in our own. And that’s what lands it on the witchy Canva font list! This font is absolutely for you if you want your branding to feel like it toes the lines of time, somehow simultaneously now, and… well… “then”. And it’s available to use on Canva for free with your account, so you can expiriment with it as much as you want!

Hello Paris – Canva Free Font
There are tons of fonts available out there right now that have little details in some of the glyphs, that reach out and poke other characters, or merge characters altogether to create something artistic. They’re everywhere, and lots of them? Well, they’re witchy AF. There’s something about the elegance and the connectedness that makes them feel simultaneously whimsical, and romantic, but in a way that can be connected to the ethereal – to the unseen. That’s a tall order from a font, but try out the capitalized characters in Hello Paris, and you’ll see what I mean!

TAN Garland – Canva PRO Font
Time for another simple serif, with details that definitely make it feel witchy in the right context? Well TAN Garland has that and more. It’s a tall, straightforward font, with characters that might seem traditional at first glance. But in the details, there’s a lot to love here, and even more to use in your witchy branding. Especially if you’re interested in fascinating “g” or “t” characters, which I have to admit, are my favourite parts of TAN Garland!

Maharlika – Canva Free Font
Maharlika calls back to Perandory – it has the same sharpness. But it combines that sharpness with a charming rounded edge that feels cozy, somehow! And of course… just a bit witchy. This free witchy Canva font will pair incredibly well with hand drawn elements, watercolour, and more!

Caslon #540 – Canva Free Font
I LOVE Caslon. Every Caslon… I love it. And Caslon #540 is no exception. It’s got a brilliant structure, feels simple and subtle, and not only makes a brilliant header font, it also sits well in the body of nearly any brand you want to pair it with. But best of all, it holds its own without being distracting in font sets that include gothic or more complex fonts, which makes it a valuable tool in your witchy branding toolset!
If you look closely, you might even notice it in some of the branding samples on this page, because it works just that well!

Kage – Canva Free Font
Kage is a free font on Canva, and honestly? When I first encountered it I didn’t really know what I wanted to do with it. The rounding in the details is lovely, the endings of the characters feel definite – and it’s gorgeous. But I didn’t really know where it’s place was. And of course now I know – it’s place? Witchy brands. Specifically, witchy with a bent toward cottage-core!
It pairs particularly well with thin sans serif fonts as a secondary, to line up with the high contrast in it’s characters.

IM Fell English SC – Canva Free Font
I love a small-caps font, and IM Fell English SC has so much to give. The characters have a little bit of chaos to them, making it a gorgeous font to use if you’re aiming for a hand-lettered look, but want to make sure that your content is highly readable. Not only that, but it’s another witchy Canva font that feels like it’s modern, but also from another time. Toeing the line – the witchiest thing to do is staying liminal, right?

New Standard – Canva Free Font
There’s so much to love about another tall, gorgeous, simple serif font. This one, New Standard, is available for free on Canva, and it’s an amazing font to use if you’re looking for something that won’t take away from illustrations you’re including in your witchy branding! But the other thing you’ll want to note about New Standard, is it italicises BEAUTIFULLY. If you’re looking for a classic, elegant, strong font with customisation options that will help you create hierarchy in your witchy content, New Standard is a great place to start.

Enchants – Canva Free Font
Remember some of those fonts in the middle of the list here, that had a few things going on with them from a “detail” perspective? Well Enchants is all about the details. It’s tall, high contrast, and even though it can only really be used in headlines… it packs a punch. The details in the characters makes it feel high-fantasy, and there’s nothing more witchy than romantic high-fantasy content.

Anaktoria – Canva Free Font
This list wouldn’t be complete without one of my favourite witchy fonts of all time – Anaktoria. It is, in fact, one of the fonts used in my own branding, because I straight up just love it. It feels lightly handwritten even though it’s not, it has a bit of age to it even though it’s not actually aged in any way… it has movement, and interesting characters – the only complaint I have about this one is you can’t use it well as a body font. That’s it.
