RDK Mortgages: Timeless Brand Package
Ellen Kotze approached me looking for a branding suite for her entry into the Mortgage space.
We created something sleek, refined, and subtle, that would work across her whole presence!
Ellen’s biggest priority was appealing to the right clients –
So we framed her branding around a luxury experience.
Building the RDK Mortgages Brand:
The prompt was “Old Money”.
When Ellen reached out to me looking for branding for a new project of hers, I was immediately on board. She was looking for something sleek, but not too sleek. Refined, but approachable. Like many of my prospective clients, her goal was to land on something that defined her clearly as a professional, but didn’t elevate her branding so far that it felt unaproachable. And most of all, she wanted it to have a bit of a colonial, “Old Money” vibe to it. We landed on a bespoke branding suite that I’m still thrilled with, every time I look back at it!
Creating the colour palette:
It was all about calm.
One of the priorities Ellen had when it came to the palette we’d use for her branding, was that vaguely beachy, calm, but rooted tone that comes through in, for example, coastal architecture. This, from a colour psychology perspective, was lined up perfectly with the blues I’d already been feeling drawn to in the design process for her content! Remember, blue is our “loyalty” colour. It’s all about professionalism, trustworthiness – and, as mentioned… calm. The goal was for her prospective clients to feel like they’re in good hands, from the moment they first saw her content!
